I've been watching TED talks for the past couple of days. BMW sponsors an annual discussion series focused on Technology, Entertainment, and Design. Some of the worlds most brilliant minds have gathered to give lectures, approximately twenty minutes long, explaining their goals through research, innovation, and philosophy. I have been impressed thus far with Daniel Dennet and Dawkins (of course); also, by Thomas Barnett and John Doerr. Below is Juan Enriquez explaining the importance of looking to the future with "life" in mind. Beyond politics and wars over resources, we should be looking to other organisms to help solve our problems; create biological solutions through Genomics.
